my thoughts on this song:

when a person lies, they alienate themselves from nature
i stand in my truth when i am one with nature so much so that i am able to stand in my truth outside of it as well.
when i think of nature and the earth as a whole i think of my ancestors.
my lineage is long
filled with strength and knowledge
overflowing with resilience and beauty
when things get tough for me i am comforted when i think of those that have come before me
its a reminder that i am where im supposed to be
so many lives lived
mistakes made
victories had
that led me to this point
so any negativity that comes my way is neither good or bad
just necessary to get me to the next step
an opportunity to express courage and faith and strength
an ode to my ancestors
the thought of making them proud warms me
i will continue my work til it is finished
i also wanna make the people in my life proud as well
i am healing and learning and growing constantly
and very grateful for the people in my life that do the same
and allow me to lean on them still for support
something i love to do is return the favor whenever i can
